Colour Inspriation #43

This very challenging challenge is by Kristina Werner. I just realised this very talented lady used to work for SU - 'The Mother Ship'. Please take the time to check out her blog, very interesting. As you can see below there are FIVE colours in this challenge.

Below is my entry for this challenge. Have to admit, I went and got some inspiration from my very creative friend Kim... where would I be without you Kimmy - thanks lovey.

I have used Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White card stock, along with Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie and Brocade Blue inks. Chocolate Chip Ribbon to dress it up. Stamp sets used are Polka Dots & Petals, Polka Dots & Paisley and Occasional Greetings.

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #5

Here is the second challenge as promised for this week! This is the lovely Makeesha's sketch challenge.

And here is my version of this challenge!! I have made it into an Anniversary card for my Mum & Dad! (getting prepared for next month!)
I really like the simple, clean lines with not so much fuss... I have used all SU products for this one. Very Vanilla and Rose Red card stock, Rose Red and Close to Cocoa DSP, Rose Red and Close to Cocoa ink. Chocolate Chip ribbon and a decorative brad from the Silver Hodgepodge. The stamp sets used are 'Looks Like Spring' and 'Congrats'.

Just a reminder, 'Looks Like Spring' is soon to be discontinued... I am very sad about that as it is one of my top favourites :-(

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #75

Hi again everyone. Yes, another challenge! I am finding that doing these challenge's is motivating me to get going with my stamping, so I am going to try and do one or two challenges a week... we'll see how we go hey :-)
I have noticed a few Stampin' Up! Demonstrators participate in Mojo Monday challenges and I have always liked them. Below is the Layout for this weeks challenge.

And here is my entry! (between you and me - I am really happy with this one!)

I have used Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White card stock. Berrybliss DSP and Close to Cocoa ink. Stamp sets used are One of a Kind and Occasional Greetings. I used the Word Window punch and the Scallop Circle punch and then snipped it to make the petals. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the little hearts on the white card stock in the middle.
The pearls and rhinestones are from my stash!! Hope you like this one.

Makeesha's Inkspiration Challenge

I have been wanting to participate in a challenge for some time now but honestly have been to 'chicken' to do so... Well, today I bit the bullet and entered Makeesha Byl's colour challenge.

In the card below I have used Ballet Blue card stock and ink along with Whisper White card stock and 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. I used my girlfriends Cuttlebug machine and embossed the little hearts on the white square in the middle (love that machine!). I have used the 'A Happy Heart' stamp set from the Summer Mini. The buttons and flower are not from SU - sorry...
Anyway I am very pleased with the end result and hope you all like it (especially Keesh!).

Cutest Baby Cards

Aren't these so cute... (even if I do say so myself...LOL!) CASEd again but I don't care about that anymore. I do not claim to be a 'creative genius' and I have to get ideas from somewhere as do most of my colleages!!

I just loved this card when I saw it and had to have a go so I could show you. My great friend and neighbour, Kim brought herself a Cuttlebug machine and that is how I have put the embossed hearts on the front of the cards. Everything else used is Stampin' Up! products.

Big Buckle Card

Well, I was in the mood to do something a little different today... try something I haven't done before and found this card on one of my favourite sites. I am happy with the results!

I have used the Embrace Life stamp set from the Summer Mini. Whisper White, Certainly Celerey, Chocolate Chip and Perfect Plum card stock, Certainly Celerey DSP, Perfect Plum and Certainly Celerey ink and Chocolate Chip ribbon. Oh, and the Word Window punch. Last but not least the White Gel Pen to add some highlights to the large flower! Hope you like it.

This view shows the Buckle open...

Box in a Bag!!

Hi everyone. Isn't this the cutest little gift/lolly bag you have ever seen! And guess what... it is super easy! Can you imagine the look on kids faces (and thier mums LOL!) when you hand them a hand made lolly bag at the end of your childs party!! They would make great table decorations at christmas time too.

I have used the lovely Bali Breeze DSP from the Summer Mini along with the co-ordinating Pumkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise card stock. Pumkin Pie ribbon to tie it. I have used the Scallop Edge and the Round Tab punch.

If you like the idea of learning how to make these - drop me a line and I will organise a class!

Sketch Challenge

A sketch challenge is where Melissa puts a sketch of a card layout on the Forum for our team and we can do what ever we like using that sketch.

This is my take on it... I have used the Friendly Flowers and Itty Bitty backgrounds stamp sets. Brocade Blue and Bordering Blue Marker Pens and Card Stock along with Whisper White Card Stock and ribbon. Then to add a bit I have used a Silver hodgepodge word frame and Crystal effects.

Melissa's Colour Challenge

Once a month, my upline Melissa Garland sets us two challenges. One being a colour challenge, the other being a sketch challenge. The colour challenge is a way of getting us to put colours we wouldn't ussually use together into the creation of a new card. She stipulates the colours and we have to use those (we can add neutrals if we wish) but can't add any other colour. As there are ussually four colours in the challenge, it would be a little over done to add any more...

This month the colours were Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava and Soft Sky. Luckily all these colours are in the Afternoon Tea DSP in the Summer Mini!! So that made it a little easier. Hope you like my creation below.
