Photoshop Class!

One of my bestie's Kim, sent me an email with a link to a free Photoshop class the other day... she has shown me the basics several times and I am only just getting the hang of it! (bit slow I know lol!) So, I thought I should give it a go - It was a very straight forward tutorial with easy to follow instructions and at the end of the very short class I came out with my very first digital layout! Woohoo! Gotta be happy with thatI think - who doesn't like a freebie and who doesn't like mess free scrapbooking that gets you a page in less than half hour!! Its a very simple page but I like it - hope you do too.

Christmas '09

Here is another photo I had in the pile to be scrapped! This one brings back wonderful memories of how cute they were when they were young... Thanks for stopping by again xx

Park Fun

I was cleaning out my cupboard yesterday to pack in the new stash (hehe!) and I found all these photos that I had previously printed to scrap but never got around to doing... So, guess what?? Yep I got inspired and finally scrapped some! This page is of my three cutie kids having fun in the park at Beackfront Holiday Resort where we took our camper trailer for the first time. We had a great time there and look forward to going again. I love Mae's little face in the photo on the far right, it screams 'WOOHOO!' which I'm sure is what she was saying!

Happy 5th Birthday!

Next Monday (18th June) is my baby girls 5th Birthday! In preparation for that I decided to make her a card using all her favourite things... pink, purple, cakes and glitter! What five year old girl doesn't like these things? Its a very basic card but I know she will love it and thats the whole point xx

{love} U so very much...

One of the best things at the Papercraft Expo last weekend was the gallery section. There were displays of different designers layouts. One in particular was by a lady Louise Nelson, who we had the pleasure of meeting by the way. She was so down to earth and lovely. I actually asked her was she 'arty' before starting scrapbooking?? She said, 'Oh goodness no, I was a furniture restorer!!' Her pages were like mini works of art - totally amazing. So, I had to have a go and below is what I came up with... my page gives no justice to hers by any means but it was fun having a go! Here is a close up so you can see the wire frame. Louise used wire on nearly every page - I loved it! Thanks for checking in xxx

Its been a long time!

Well hello! As you can see by my last post, it has been just over a year since I have been on here.... It has taken a fantastic weekend away with two of my gorgeous sisters and one very special and very talented friend to get me interested in papercrafting again. What better way to get back into than to go on a 'Road Trip' with the girls to Queensland and visit the Papercraft Expo! We had such a great time (even if the sun went into hiding!) we were inside and very much entertained by all things scrapbooking! We met the amazingly talented Tim Holtz and got photos and his autograph. He was so patient and polite - really lovely guy. There was some amazing displays and great bargains! The bank account got hit hard - oops! All for a good cause - creating wonderful memories!! Thats how I am explainging it anyway hehehe! Below is a pic of my stash! Lots of creating to do with this lot lol! After purchasing a new camera recently my sister and I had some fun taking some photos around Brisbane. Below are two of my favoutires! This first one is of a huge Ferriswheel right on the banks of the river that runs through the middle of the city. This next one was a gorgeous old building with lights that changed colour from pink and purple to red and blue - it was really impressive to watch. Hopefully I will have some creations to share with you soon - thanks for dropping by xx
